Equal Limits
Every part of you contributes to what is good. Treat them with the same care.
“It is in an ennobled soul only that the universal powers can do their work, especially if body, mind and soul have been equally trained and developed.” ~ Franz Bardon
There is a price for freedom. That price is choosing to be responsible for the burdens we place on society. If not taken in hand those responsibilities we outsource the duties that allow us to be sovereign individuals. There are multiple facets to an individual that makes a person. Those facets are the mind, body, and soul. No one is holier or more valuable than the other if the work you are placed on this Earth to do is to be done efficiently.
There are factors to consider to why the responsibility to ourselves is not taken up with haste if that is what the individual desires. One reason is that the work required to maintain one facet causes for planning, preparation, action, and a lifetime commitment to strive for growth.
The body requires that one places certain demands, not too far above its ability, on it in order to stimulate growth in the capacity in which it is being exercised. Be sure to start small for placing too much work on the first try will not only discourage continual exercise but also cause undue harm on the vessel ascribed to you. Feed it well to the degree it can replenish what it exerted to complete the task you placed for it. The body is such a magnificent piece of engineering and architecture that you only need to give it what it requires and it does the processes on its on; day and night.
The functions the mind serves is to lay plans on the vision that is placed for it. Even if you do not take the time to manifest a clear goal in your mind; you will operate off of another’s. The cost steadily increases by each passing day to when the interest makes one default and throws in the towel. When they only need to look within themselves for the instructions on how to bring forth an image. Apply the instructions to the body and the spirit will bring forth an even clearer picture. As the work is being done the mind adopts news ways in expediting the work. That is called mastery of one’s craft. As one gets nearer and nearer to the goal the mind only has to bring forth the image to spark the motivation to keep going.
“In the woods, too, a man casts off his years, as the snake his slough, and at what period soever of life is always a child. . . .Standing on the bare ground, - my head bathed by the blithe air, and uplifted into infinite space, - all mean egotism vanishes. I become a transparent eyeball; I am nothing; I see all; the currents of the Universal Being circulate through me; I am part or parcel of God.” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
Here is the soul, the divine energy that permeates throughout our body and mind. This is the quality that gives the want for more life. The spark of intuition we sense is carried to us from a plane of existence that goes beyond what we can conceive. The soul holds the very purpose in what we are placed here to do. We can either aid it or dim the light it brings but we cannot change the message it has for us. Our character dictates on much of what the soul holds we can bring to bear for ourselves. This is where we make the link that allows us to see the vision that the mind can focus on. To give to the body the conduct in which to orient the world to do great work. In unison this is the power of creation that has moved us from the caves to the streets we walk today. Everyone has this power if they are willing to pay the price for their freedom.
Each facet can hold the others back in completing the vision, the calling, that purpose that was meant for them. Someone has the want to play beautiful music with the talent at their fingertips and knowledge of what keystroke to hit next as if they were designed just for the task. Though they do not have the spirit, that want, to look past their daily toil. What was once a beautiful dream is now a nightmare placed on the body and the mind. Another yearns to be an architect to bring structures that can add to the bountiful quality of life we have to today, but refuses to commit to the practice to sharpen the mind that would help bring forth the wondrous creations that one could only dream of. One wants to uplift others and has the plan and the spirit to do it but the character of the individual and how they conduct themselves would make a rock frown. The burden may be heavy to bear but the freedom gathered gives birth to the wonders we marvel at today.
