Beyond The Self
We are never trapped in our own thoughts. We are freed by the answer we choose, so choose wisely.
Under conditions of peace, the warlike man attacks himself. Nietzsche reminds us that without struggle, we collapse inward. To live greatly is not to avoid conflict, but to direct it toward transcending ourselves. To Nietzsche, struggle was not an enemy but a necessity. Ideals, emotions, and independence all demand conflict — not against others, but within ourselves. The warrior within must not be suppressed; he must be led toward higher ground
.Never travel too fast down any path, the cascading views that will pass you by will give you the answers you seek. In one form or another, life is in no hurry, just you. Knowing at the end of it will be your demise, what will you have shown for it? Hardened feet? Be vigilant in your approach to anything in life because anything that has your focus will have your time and we know how finite that is. Each day that passes is one we will never see again; yet we live like there are plenty of Tuesdays and Wednesdays but we deny ourselves the truth in the matter. Those man made systems allows us to dilute our perspective to the name we see. Look at it in the broader sense, the fact that we grow older, wiser, regal, weaker, more set in our ways. No longer can you say that the days are the same after you have changed so much. We hold the keys to our lives yet we run as if the darkness at our back has nothing to teach us. Don’t worry, where there is darkness there to will be light.
Nietzsche has plenty of experiences to harken back to those drury accounts we, in one way or another, will inevitable face. Robert Green places it well for us in saying, “There are no non-participants in the gathering of power.”
Nietzsche’s ‘Beyond Good and Evil’ gives excerpts about men systems and ideology that carries us through life. He stretches his thoughts to even those who have the willingness to take a stand for themselves and make themselves free from the crowd
Few are made for independence, it is a privilege of the strong. He who attempts it, having the completist right to it, but without being compelled to. There by proves that he is not only strong but also daring to the point of recklessness.
He goes further into the quote to describe that the one who attempts it multiples by 1000 the dangers that life already brings. But is it worth the trouble to be the best version of yourself. If whatever you pursue doesn’t require you to be better than who you were before, you are wasting your time and missing your calling. To be comfortable is such a nice thing that people will give up themselves just to stay there. Though despise the one who takes the risk to almost have themselves destroyed in order to obtain what others would call the “good things in life”. Rather than follow the ways of the individual who faced utter destruction and failure they scorn him for his success. They do not know that in order to obtain that which they claim to be good he had to suffer insurmountable odds. People do not believe in what they do not see so the one to claim the things are good. Misery loves company and that group compounds the difficulty of the ones who will attempt to gather themselves up to take on the masses. But without the masses, greatness wouldn’t be great.
